Plastic surgery equipment comes in different sizes, brands and is used for different functions but ultimately serves one purpose – to make the surgery another success story.
If you have ever walked into a plastic surgeon’s operating room then you’ll notice several pieces of medical equipment. Without these, a cosmetic procedure wouldn’t be possible. Take the anesthesia machine for example. It is used for ‘knocking out’ patients during an operation while at the same time monitors the patient’s stability and oxygen intake.
The surgical table is perhaps the focal point of the operating room – it allows the surgeon to position the patient in the best possible position. Surgery lights provide the necessary illumination and are often backed up by generators in case of a power outage.
Infusion pumps ( used for providing the patient with fluids, gas and food intravenously), electrosurgical units (used for cutting, fulgurating and dessication), autoclaves (holds other pieces of equipment), liposuction devices and microscopes are also common plastic surgery equipment.
