Horrible plastic surgery results are never expected by most of those who undertake the process. Plastic surgery is mainly performed to correct or restore body parts and their functions. It may also involve molding or shaping body parts and features to enhance a person’s appearance. Even with significant progress in medical technology, there are risks that are associated with the process.
They range from medical, physical and psychological effects. The most common effects include; nausea, vomiting, headaches and inflammation at the area where the procedure is carried out. Those who opt for the surgery, especially cosmetic surgery may feel embarrassed, angered and regret incase the procedure goes wrong. Some of the surgical risks involved include infections, allergic and drug reactions, excessive bleeding, pigmentation, blood clotting, skin necrosis, scaring and nerve damage.
Implant rejection may also occur. The process may pose additional risks for smokers and those with certain vascular conditions. They may experience a delayed healing process, bruising and pulmonary problems. There may also be excessive bleeding, organ and respiratory failure, shock and even cardiac arrest.
